Why We Love Photographers!

Photographers are an absolute essential part of every single wedding. Remember, while photographers sometimes shoot without a videographer, the same is not true in reverse. 100% of the weddings we shoot have photographers. So we've come to actually depend on them in many ways. In turn, we have mutual respect and communicate with them throughout the day to ensure we both get everything we need. The ultimate goal is to capture an awesome wedding and have fun all at once. Couples can sense and feel that camaraderie. There's a reason why many of our weddings we book every year come from referrals from other photographers. We might have a lot of gear but we're fast, friendly, and really easy to work with!

Why we're easy to work with!

  • We have 14 years of experience filming over 450 weddings all over the US.
  • Experience = Speed ... We're faster than most videographers. As a result, the photographers can do "their thing" and we won't slow them down by needing to constantly stop a couple or a moment and "do it again for video this time".
  • We let the photographers control the shoot and we're right there by their side all day long capturing it all candidly. Our video team is myself and one assistant/2nd shooter, so there's no need to worry about a "crew of 5 or 6 showing up" like it's a film shoot.
  • Many videographers will take time out of the day to take the couple away and choreograph shots for them...not us!
  • We try to limit the amount of times we have couples "do things for our camera". That way your video looks less "directed" and more "natural".
  • Photographers will guide and direct you and we'll be fast enough to catch it. If we miss a moment or need something we're not getting, don't worry, we'll speak up. But most of the time, we got it!
  • We have telephoto lenses! (photographers will know why this is important!!)
  • Because we have long lenses, we don't need to be all UP IN YO FACE! Haha!
  • We're all about teamwork! We'll talk with your photographers about how they like to capture certain "can't miss" moments and make sure we're in position to get what we both need.
  • Mutual Respect. You hired us both for a reason. Our videography rates are not cheap so chances are you've invested a good amount of your wedding budget on getting a great video AND great photos. Thankfully we love what we do and respect the time and attention to detail it takes for a great photographer to do their thing too.
  • 99.9% of all photographers we've ever worked with over the last 14 years have been really nice people. We like to think we are too. Some are shy, some are sweet, some are tough, and some are just plain wild! But on the whole, they all share our same passion.
  • If you want to know about that 0.1% (actually just one guy) it's a funny/creepy/haunted story I'm happy to tell you one day. It was almost an out-of-body experience. Lol. And it was at a venue that's considered haunted too!
  • My wife and her identical twin are Wedding Photographers and they tell us stories of some of the inexperienced and/or invasive wedding videographers they work with...I'm sorry you guys have deal with that sometimes. Hopefully this shoot will be a LOT more enjoyable!
  • This last bullet point is just so there were 14 things listed here instead of 13, as I felt that was bad luck. Lol. What's left to say? Well, I guess you should know I have 3 little kids and I edit weddings all week long, so you know I lead with my heart.

See you at the Wedding! :)
